Summary
Organizations are involved in strategic, cultural and organizational changes to
adapt themselves to the Network Society. Information and Communication Technologies
(ICT) allow for networked work schemes for professionals (including tele-working) and
facilitate inter-organizational relationships. In this context, Development Cooperation, a
networked function in essence, can evolve to networked cooperation models.
Development NGOs find challenges and opportunities to place themselves efficiently in
such models. This paper includes a case study with the results of research about NGO
challenges in network models. Also, some recommendations are proposed for NGO fruitful
networking on: knowledge management, networked projects and network competences.
