LOCAL SOCIAL INNOVATION THROUGH THE MARKET IN CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION IN LATINAMERICA[editar]

Summary

This paper begins introducing three NGO’s that are socially innovating in a global scale. These examples bring in the concept of social innovation and compare three definitions of itself. Once is stablished social innovation as a concept, some key factors are shown related to innovation in the Third Sector. The main section of this work is based on the study of 18 innovating social organizations that work in the market with low income sectors in latinamerica. The paper ends trying to offer a few ideas about local social innovation and reviewing “local innovation” definition.
