Alfonso Carlos Morales Gutiérrez . Universidad de Córdoba

Summary

This paper analyzes an innovative behavior in Third Sector that shows the potential that new information technologies have and how communication can be a catalizator of a change process. First of all some specific features are shown related to innovation in the Third Sector that can help to understand it in a different context. Secondly, different fields of innovation are analyzed, that might be developed by Third Sector institutions, accompained by some recent national examples. In the third point, the development of an innovative organization model in the Third Sector is analyzed, generating an innovative process (that may be partially incorporated into more traditional organizations), from where new actors and relationships appear in the field of solidarity. Finally some thoughts about the need and opportunity of placing innovation in the institutional agenda, not only as a wish but as a priority, and therefore in a strategic level.
