R&D&i in social intervention[editar]

Esther Raya Diez . Universidad de La Rioja

Summary

Research and innovation are two challenges for social intervention programs and services. This paper aims the study of the organization of these aspects applied to the scope of social intervention, especially, to the area of Social Work. It is organized as a program and tries to answer “what?”, “why?”, “what for?”, “how?”, “when?”, “how much?”, “who?”, “where?” and “with whom?”, taking for granted, of course, that we are not only describing the current situation of R&D&i in social intervention but, above all, thinking of strategies to develop projects that allow to give a feedback on the issue from a scientific research perspective and vice versa.

This paper uses as a starting point the assumption that research is a key element in the methodological process of social intervention actions. Nevertheless, R&D&i in this area lacks rigor. A deliberate strategy that integrates research and social intervention is proposed as an alternative to change this situation.
