Summary

This work analyses the way a firm can integrate ethical principles and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives into its innovation strategy. With this aim, the case of the Indra Company is studied. This enterprise, which is technology and innovation intensive and whose main resource is its knowledge base, has developed a explicit process for the integration of these values and actions into its corporate and innovation strategies. Some of the factors which have been implicated in this process are: the promotion of ethical principles through its corporate culture, the human resources practices which promote the access to and the transfer of knowledge, and its relationships with its stakeholders which encourage the creation of knowledge and innovation, jointly with the ethical values which intrinsically go linked to these as well.
